Some people say that the sign of pubic hair starting to grow is a sign of you becoming a MAN and that you need a lot of hair to show off your man hood.

My question is, is it true that having a lot of pubic hair or any at all is being manly?
What are your thoughts ?

I've never heard this before, and I'd venture to say no.

I'd say no. When I trim my pubes does that make me less of a man. I surely dont think so.

Pubic hair is just a guys hormones changing to manhood sexually no differet than facial or armpit a man is measured by how he accepts the responsiabilty

Some people say that but in todays world most people shave their pubic hair so i dont believe your anymore of a man by having hair. but it is one of the signs that people think of when going into manhood. but really it is just your age that means anything.

i mean its just hair, and like some said lots of guys clean it up down there anyways. it just means that its a physical indicator that your body is maturing, or being man-like i suppose

I don't think how much hair you have dictates how manly you are. However, some people see hair as a sign of manliness.

Does losing hair make you less of a man?

Hair is hair... Is doesn't matter, don't let society's views effect your Opinion on what makes YOU a man.

Well I guess getting pubes is a sign of puberty, growing from a boy to a man, but I really don't like body hair so I trim and almost all of the guys on my soccer and baseball teams and most of my friends trim or shave. I think it used to be seen as manly to have lots of hair but I don't think that is so true anymore.

It doesn't MAKE you one but it makes you look like one.

The only reason you would need a lot of hair is to show off how much hair you have. In the end it all boils down to your personal preference.

In a way I guess it shows that you're starting your change to become a man but having it doesn't necessarily mean you are a man

I'm agreeing with everyone ! It doesn't make you anymore manlier than any other person

Women grow pubic hair. Does that make them like men? No, and I believe it's the same for "men" as well. I would never use a physical characteristic, myself or another person, to help me define and characterize what and who I am. And theoretically, if the entire world didn't have eyes, would it make a difference?

I think having body hair is a thing of the past. Nowadays many young men shave or trim while the older guys are still hairy. I personally like going natural and in a way it does make me feel manly. But that's just me:P

Kid, listen here. If we could know the facts, some of the greatest men of our world were probably a lot less hairy than others. It's not about muscles or body hair, laddy, it's about being a man. Not looking like one.

Growing hair is the start of being a man, because it is the start of puberty, but i dont think you have to be vary hairy to be manly.

In general, no, having a lot of pubes or having a lot of body hair doesn't make you a man. It may make you LOOK more manly, but it doesn't actually make you a man.

In a general metaphorical sense it is used like this. ("This will put hairs on your chest" etc) but there is no basis in fact in modern society.

It's genetics and puberty. Hair comes in when puberty starts and how much you get really just depends on family genetics and has nothing at all to do with how manly a person is. Though I will say in my opinion shaving it all off will work against you if you want to look manly.
