Mama, don’t you know?
How could you let your child go?
Mama, didn’t you see?
I thought you were there to protect me.

Mama tried her best
But I always put her to the test.
Mama tried to teach me
But every child just wants to play free.

Mama doesn’t know
That the shame now won’t let go.
Mama doesn’t see
That there’s a tainted part of me.

Mama thought she could rest
But her child was getting undressed.
Mama thought she’d taught me well
But there’s just so much I cannot tell.

Mama doesn’t know
When the marks will never show.
Mama cannot see
Because nothing remains except for the memory.

Jo(thanks for changing your name back. <.<), your poems always amaze me. They're so...real. Not sure what kind of compliment that is, but they really are great.
Make a book. Seriously.

Teehee, no problem. :P

And thanks. Funny you say that as I'm putting all my poems into one Word document.
