I have always been sooo interested in Law. My skool just entered a Pre-Law Magnet Program and I'm in it, and also taking it for High School, and its gettin me soo interested in becoming a senator of the U.S. Congress.

Anyone have dat same interest??

Maybe, it's just that it's a really hard/competitive field to get in to...

Yeah, i have always been into those competetive careers for some reason.

Law's only competitive if you're terrible at it, in which case it's not really your field. Top 50% of any class get their clerkship.

It only gets competitive when it's time to decide where you want to work.

If you want to aim for the big firm jobs where a lot of money gets poured into your account, just prepare yourself for the fact that you will be working 80+ hour weeks and do soulless work as long as you're the new kid on the block for that fat wad of cash, and you better finish top 5% at a top 5% school or else they'll take somebody who did.

I prefer the kind of work where I'm actually in touch with the common people, not overfed capitalist grubs with too much money to spend. It pays (much) less, but I feel like I matter a heck of a lot more. I'm aiming for criminal defense myself, for a later career in prosecution. While I get my obligatory time in private practice, I'll be happy defending people like you and me against possible injustices.

Also any political appointment results more of innate charisma and connections than your career choice. We've got a farmer here as MP. Just saying.
