What does it mean to bump threads?

I've seen other threads get locked cause they bumped another one what's that mean?

1) Bumping: we see this rule broken a lot, so let us make it clear. Bumping is when you post in threads where the last post was a significant time ago. The bumping limits are different for the Puberty forums, as outlined below.


This. People go and post in threads that haven't been posted in for over a month, or more (depending on which part of the forum you are in). This means we must lock said thread because it is no longer relevant.
