also to add, currently with facetime you have to be connected to wifi (the device your using AND the one youre connecting to). Because of this, skype is usually better, as u can use it anywhere! If u have any other questions on it feel free to message me!

you need to have someones facetime address. It will be under settings > facetime and it will tell you your address you can give to others.

Very few people use skype outdoors for video chat anyway since it uses a lot of mobile internet, so facetime and skype are both pretty much used on WiFi networks anyway.
