We don't delete accounts. All you have to do is log out and not log back in again.

VT has an open door policy
thats why we don't delete accounts
if you don't want to come back on thats fine just log out and dont come bck
but if you ever change you mind then the accounts still here
only in extreme situations will it even be considered

what if the person wants to be deleted for privacy reasons? I think you should delete people. But i have no say

Don't make people pay more attention to you by saying 'I have no say'! :P That'll discourage the change even more so.
I think the policy is actually (or should be) that if a member would like their account deleted because they don't want it, the request is not met.
Accounts will only be deleted at PMed request to Administrators for special conditions (privacy etc)

It can cause threads not to make sense if posts are gone. Plus I can see lots of people wanting them deleted then coming back.

Tim's account was deleted but his posts remain. The posts are stripped of everything but the username and post count.
Tho, some people may want their posts to be mass deleted. In this case, it should be up to the Admins and no decision should be made by any of the other staff or members.
(my opinion, guys ;P)

dude totally lol
cause like the original post could be one person talking and then another person responding. then the person responding gets deleted and the stuff that they said to each other wouldnt make sense at all
lol
