Android won't recieve pics

Ok I bought a new android today (on Samsung Galaxy Ace) and I tried to recieve a picture and all it does is give me a message of "For info on MMS go to koodomobile.com/bb" then the same thing in french. I go to the site (address is for blackberries, so I click on android) and then it doesn't help me. It troubleshoots for sending a pic but not recieving. after some intensive googling I have an idea of something about MMS goes through mobile data? (which I didn't subscribe to because koodo doesn't have unlimited data. Whatever happened to the simpler pic messages when I could just click download and it works?

Any help would be appreciated.

I do, In my plan I am paying to be able to send and recieve picture messages.

Mine won't receive pictures or send them unless I have the Internet turned on.
You say you aren't paying for data? In that case I don't think you'll be able to see them.

You need data in order to receive pictures. Why you even got an android without data in the first place is beyond me, but there's your problem.
