Hi, so my hands pretty much always shaking, like if i hold them up, they can't stay still. And my mother thought it was caused because i drink coffee all the time, but even in the morning right when i wake up they do it, so it's not the caffeine. I was supposed to talk to my doctor about it, but then i didn't because i didn't want to have to go back for another visit if it was anything serious, lol. So, does anyone know what might be causing this? Thanks :)

Could be 100 things, it could be due to any medications you are taking, or could be the effects of a Neurological condition. In any case, I think the trip to the doctors would be of great benefit.

Or it could just be nothing. My hands shake all the time and have since I was a kid. I've always just ignored it really and I'm in perfect physical health for the most part.

This happens to me quite a lot when I get low blood pressure or when i've not eaten enough and I have low blood sugar. So it could be either of those..

But as others have said go to a doctor. If your blood pressure is low, unless it's simply because you've not eaten enough, then there's an underlying medical condition. Same with the blood pressure, I have medical problems with low blood pressure.

Thanks for the suggestions, i'm not taking any medications, so that would rule out that theory, and as far as blood pressure goes my family has high pressure rather than low, lol. So i guess i really should just talk to my doctor, or hopefully it will be gone after some time. Thanks though :)

I'll agree that shaking hands can be because of many factors. Caffeine, neurological disorders, emotions (i.e excitement), hunger, etc. If its something new to you, get it checked out. If not, then its probably nothing big.

Thanks again, maybe some day i'll do something about it, but until then i can live with it, lol.

probably emotional stress tbh... whenever im nervous i get the shakes. if theres something "nerve-wracking" going on then that is completely normal

I don't think it's from stress because it is always happening and has for years.

Mine do the exact same thing, but I also drink 1 or 2 pots of coffee a day. I don't know, if your blood pressure and heart rate are normal I wouldn't think it would be anything to worry too much about.
