Pre cum basically just clears any urine and yes it can act as a lube but you dont really make a lot of it and it comes before the orgasm when your sexually arroused.
I have tried my own cum, i drink coffee so its a little bitter, i cant explain really but depending on what i eat will change it but overall its ok :)
