Hey,
I saw a lot of videos on youtube about what may be coming up next in the Gameing Universe.
I think that there is going to be a lot of things with AR (augmented reality) in the future.
AR-Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJItdmumxYY)
The stuff with controlling the Game with your mind is in my oppinion not that probably.
MindControll-Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5Z12qQJ-gU)
What do you think is coming up in the Future.

Fake.
Minecraft uses the same technology as this. And it does take quite a bit of power to run. Thats 16x16 resolution.
Imagine the amount of power you would need to run things like that.

It would be great if something like that would be possible, but like AutoPlay said, it would need a Super Computer to process all thous Informations.
In my oppinion it would be much easier to just us AR to get a realistic playing field.

It might be true that something like that is possible for a Simulation, but imagine if the Computer has to process every single peace of dirt. (Gravity, Collisions x 1^X,...)
Then the CPU would be already on its limit if you take just one step.

Well the processor is using a algorithm similar to Google's algorithm to calculate pixels. Plus they're planning to have a demo out in 2012. It's not like there aren't other games that take up insane amount of processing power to run.
EDIT: Plus it's not calculating gravity. Stop making insane assumptions.

Hey,
happy new year everyone.^^
I've got to write a dissertation about Gaming in the Future.
Therefore I would like to do a survey here, about what you think is possible to conquer the market of gaming in the future.
In a scale of 1 to 6 (1 = very possible and 6 = not possible)
how would you rate the following possibilities:
Atom based grafics
Gesture-Control
Voice-Control
Mind-Control
Augmented-Reality

None of those have any chance to conquer the market.

how come?
Because of the way the industry is and the investments.

I wouldn't say anything is impossible, want to know why? Inovators take the largest risk, but they also get the largest reward.

Well of course it's possible, but it's more than likely that it won't happen.

Also they have to compete with each other, therefore I think that there will be at least a few of thous new inventions.
