Mobile Wifi

Hey guys, Im running Ubuntu 11.10 with some windows program support and i've been thinking about setting up wifi on my laptop But i mean as in my Laptop being the Host for the connection.
What i plan to use my mobile Wifi Connection for is to Allow other people with laptops to connect to my laptop and play my game servers without the need of real internet connectivity, Also i want to be able to Set it up so i can do file transfer. Could someone help me do this?

If you're using NetworkManager, go to "Create new Wireless network", and follow the steps there ;)
