my mother showed me this site in order for me to "get better". she said there are alot of people "like me" on here whatver thats suppossed to mean... i dont mean to be harsh on her but i dont think im crazy so why does she treat me like that... She "checksme" on a weekly basis looking for places... i feel like a specimen. then when i go to the shrink she laughs at evrything like im a complte joke! she sent me to the hospital cause she found "supplies" in my room god forrbid she sees the real scars!:mad:

I'm sorry, I found this site myself and I wouldn't go on if my parents knew because i figure they'd stalk me :|. I hope your mom doesn't do that. It's pretty helpful but yeah that was kind of patronizing in a way of her to be like that about it, parents can be bad about dealing with self harm (I'm fairly sure that's what you're talking about?).
Welcome anyway, you should check it out in case there is something helpful, you can't PM until you've made 100 posts (which I'm new so I haven't yet) but i THINK if you go on my page, you can email me if you ever want to talk privately with someone--I'm not gonna pretend I know exactly how you feel or anything, but I also self harm and my mom recently found out (only because it was more or less shoved in her face) so if you need someone to vent to who understands, or even just someone to talk with (without having to think your mom might be checking what you're saying, if she's like that and that worries you) then I'm here.

Remember, if your mother didn't love you as much as she does, she wouldn't have gone to the trouble to find this place. It's because she loves you this much that she wants you to get better. We have many forums, like the Cutting and Self Harm (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=16) one for specifically cutting. This probably sounds cliché, but we all have gone through some shit, but there is always the light at the end of the tunnel. And remember. Most people are happy to talk to you about whatever.
