This is kind of a weird question, but I'm curious as to your opinions. When do you consider someone to have lost her virginity? Oral sex, vaginal, etc. Personally, I will consider myself a virgin until I have straight up sex, but I was just wondering about other people's opinions.

I think that you are a virgin until you have vaginal or anal sex.

hmmm...personally I think it's vaginal. It might depend on the person...

Yes, I think it's penetration of your vagina by a penis. That's the way I've always understood it anyway. I suppose if you look at it that way, there's a difference between being a virgin and being sexually active.

I completely agree. Penis in the vagina or it doesn't count.

Well, what if you're gay/lesbian? How would you (anyone) define it then?

Vaginal to me is the right answer.

To me, I believe virginity is taken when you believe you've gone 'all the way' with your partner, be it vaginal penetration with the opposite sex or the equivalent between two women.

It's a personal opinion, really. Some people no longer consider themselves a virgin when they've done something even experimental with a partner.

Vaginal or scissoring with your gf

I agree with vaginal, but I also don't think you can call yourself a virgin if you've had anal sex

The definition of virgin is someone who has not had sexual intercourse. If you haven't had sexual intercourse then you are a virgin, if you have had sexual intercourse then you aren't a virgin. Its simple, really.

I'd agree with vaginal at least for guys, but being bi I considered it taken the first night we did oral and scissored.

HaydenM

For me I consider it the first time someone has sexual intercourse. I don't consider someone who has had oral, anal or given hand to not be a virgin.

So, HaydenM, what would a gay person, or lesbian, do to lose his/her virginity?

HaydenM

Well for a gay male-male couple I guess I would consider anal sex to be their form of loosing their virginity but personally I see a difference between the two.

As for lesbians I have no idea as I don't consider oral of fingering to be a loss of virginity. So idk :/

I think any penetration by another person- including fingering. (except oral)
But anal or vaginal, by another person.

For me, Vaginal sex. But i think it's a individual concept/view. I know people who were raped and still consider themselves virgins until they had consensual sex for the first time.

Lol....I've lost count how many times this aged old question keeps cropping up.

Am sure as always there will be conflicting opinions and answers.

For my two-penneth worth, I have, and will always believe that you can only ever lose your virginity by having sexual intercourse, by that I mean a girl's/woman's vagina being penetrated by a man's penis.

i would say penetration by a male penis of any part of anyones body (oral doesnt count)

For me virginity was sex.. I honestly didn't do much until I had sex.. lol

I would say once you've had vaginal or anal intercourse depending on what your sexuality is, you are no longer a virgin.

So...two women in an exclusive lesbian relationship wouldn't lose their virginity?

My BFF, who is a girl have fingered, scissored and done just about evything in between. I've had anal sex with Brian, my male BFF, but just recnetly lost my "other" virginity to him about 3 weeks ago. It was awesome and wished i had not waited...it felt soooo good!

I would consider any penetrating of the vagina by someone other than your self losing your virginity. MB should not count. Cos if it did I would have lost my virginity when I was bout 9!!!

Akasuki

I believe you lose your virginity when the penis enters the vagina for people who are straight. For people who are bisexual or lesbian, I think you lose your virginity by getting fingered or your girl using a toy that enters the vagina.

I have done BJ's a couple times but I haven't had sex so I would say I'm still technically a virgin.

There was a saying in my school, "If the penis didn't go in, you're still a virgin." About 98% of us stood by it.

it depends on the person id say. since not all couples are heterosexual, or willing to do all the same things, i would say when the two have had sex in the way they do and consider themselves to nolonger be a virgin

Losing your virginity means you actually HAVE sex...which to me is not anything but real penetration by a real person.
