I got drunk for the first time last night and again just now, I have broken out into a sweat both times. Why is this?

Alcohol basically stimulates the sweat glands. Alcohol causes the blood vessels near the skin to dilate (enlarge). This also happens when doing physical activity. For this reason is why you sweat more. This is also why psychologically you feel more warm while and after drinking, however this causes your body to release heat, which infact makes you loose body temperature. (You feel more warm because alcohol is a depressant, and slows down body functions Pulse, Breathing ect). This can be dangerous because in some places of the world where it gets very cold, or at night; people will drink, feel warm and go outside in cold weather and not know that they are slowly going into a state of hypothermia. This happens more commonly then you would think, and is very dangerous.
The myth that you sweat the alcohol out is false, you are sweating sweat. Alcohol also dehydrates you a significant amount, that is why it is very important to drink plenty of water after drinking alcohol.
Hope this helps :)
