If your veins show as it is, bulging out sorta, and you cut your wists, is there a higher chance to hit a vein? + how bout the veins you can see that are not coming out, theres just a feint blue line,

Honestly, anywhere you can see veins (behind your elbows and knees, your wrists etc) i 100% would not cut ever. If you go too deep you could catch a vein and die. I might just be being paranoid but I very strongly advise against it.

I don't get it either, like people cut all the way to their wrists on their arms, but my veins and arteries are too close to skin. ALso I think it's because like, while it's very dangerous and you could kill yourself without meaning to if you cut there (so please don't do it, if you can see them, it wouldn't take much to cut them and cutting the blue ones is baaaaad) I once read that if someone were doing it to kill themselves, they have to cut a different way, I'm not going into detail because if someone doesn't know I'd hate to tell them.

I've never cut my wrists, it's horrible. I've cut the top side of my arm, but never the bottom. I dont mind pictures of cuts anywhere else but on wrists makes me shiver.
edit: 3000th post. :)

Yeah im just not sure, pretty much from the other side of my forearm down to my wrist i can see veins, some are deep within but still sorta visible, just wanted to know if the chance increases to hit them, wondering how far in they really are, not that it will stop me or anything.

First of all i'd like to point out that cutting at all is not a good idea. It's addictive and ruins lives. Whether you're cutting on veins or not you're going to start leaving scars and it'll seriously limit what you can wear.
As for cutting your wrists, i've done it a few times. I only really do it when i'm feeling particularly down, I guess I sort of like the chance that I might possibly have the courage to push down a little deeper and die sometimes. I never seem to cut as deep on my wrists as I would on my arm though.
If you're planning to commit suicide by cutting your veins then it's not worth it. There's only a small chance you'll die and you'll end up with scars and in hospital.

No it doesn't help, it just gives you something different to have crap attacks about for a bit.

I cut my wrists but it was really shallow and it was 2 thin cuts. I was 12 years old then. It's a bad idea because then you get worried invade you cut a vein. If you have to cut then do it at the top of your forearm- near your elbow. Don't cut your wrist though- bad idea.

It really is, anything is bad even if it's not dangerous because it means you probably have some emotional reason to do it, and could turn dangerous, but everyone knows cutting your wrists is a way people try to kill themselves and therefore you can die from it--it's just too dangerous.

i have really shollow veins...like you wont believe me if i told you...and i lost everything and i tried and cut open as many veins as possible...i had to cut really deep and i didnt even get there...but dont do it...cutting isint the solution :) if you see veins...dont cut there...i can only cut like in a 10cm by 10cm blok on my thigh...thats all...cuz of all the shallow veins...and if you hit one of those veins...you could die...so try not and cut your wrists if you even have to cut...stay safe
