Post your phone hacking stories here! :)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I originally hacked my Droid R2-D2 using z4root. Gingerbread update didn't work, so i sent phone to moto so i could get update.
Then this happened.
My R2-D2 (http://forums.androidcentral.com/motorola-droid-2/138656-droid-r2-d2-rom.html)

I then got an HTC Thunderbolt. I s-offed with Revolutionary.io, and flashed cwm and su. I have flashed multiple ROMs since.

Well, I'd like to clarify one thing. You most likely used scripts, or premade programs, correct? I don't like calling people who use scripts hackers, as that title belongs to those who developed those scripts :)
On to that.

iPod touch first gen, third day release jailbroken.
Mytouch3g Rooted
Galaxy s 2 Rooted.
That's about it. Never dabbled too much into it

hmm dont have a story but want to comment:

I would imagine that a lot of the phone hacking is from jailbroken things. I look at it as the dud that made it, could have easily put something in to use lots of data, gain personal info, and other stuff like that. To stay on topic (kinda), I would say to never jailbrake anything, but thats just me...

My first PHONE hack was with a HTC hero when I managed to succesfully root it with a gold card then install Cyanogenmod 7.

Got my HD2 running Android 2.1 off the SD card back in summer 2010. Then in winter 2010 Cotulla created a bootloader called MAGDLR which enabled Android and WP7 to be dualboot directly from NAND memory. Android 2.3 CM7 was ported to the HD2. I am now running Tytung's ICS AOSP beta series..

My phone is the most versatile device I've owned because it can run 7 different operating systems (including Windows 95, XP and Ubuntu)
