So long story short: I'm white, he's hispanic. My dad hates hispanic people and his mother hates white people. I'm not really sure if we're going to be together or not though...Its complicated. But his grandmother apparently likes me a lot! So yeah lol I'm not really sure what to do. Has anyone else been in a situation like this?

No, I have not - so I can't speak from experience. But my advice to you is to talk to your dad, and have him talk to his mom.

well yes it's a problem. but I think that it's a problem when the relationships are all that serious up to marriage etc. first of all decide if you like him or not and if you're going to be together or not and only then you can worry about the attitude of the parents.

I've decided what I want. I just want a casual relationship. Nothing serious. I would type out everything that has led to this, but that would take forever lol I just get so upset when my dad disapproves of something. And his mom scares me...a lot

My gf is japanese and her dad used to hate my white ass. But I got on his good side by having a one on one talk with him. We turned out to have a lot in common and now we are practically bros. Try talking to his mom, and see if your dad is willing to talk to your bf.

My dad's dad said right to my face that he'd take me out of his will if I married a black man. Lol, and I was dating one at the time. Some things are just better left in the dark.

Yeah, make sure you're really interested and he is, and if it's all set, go for it. Screw them if they don't like it. They're your parents, they should want you to be happy. And if they don't, well, too bad. Never let something like that get in the way of you being happy. If they have any sense, eventually they'll see you guys love each other and are great together and they'll get used to the idea gradually.
