Guys, how would you treat a female friend that you were interested in?

I'm just curious about this. I have a really good friend (we're basically best friends) that I like and think likes me, but I'm not sure. He's really kind and polite to me (especially me, less with other girls), and often touches me (not inappropriately) for no reason. (These aren't the only things he does that make me wonder if he likes me. He also initiates texts, calls me, talks to me everyday, etc.)

I was just wondering how straight guys usually go about treating a friend that they are interested in?

I kind of just treat everyone the same. With the girl I like I might spend a little more attention to her, but that's just me.

When there's a female friend that I'm interested in I'll begin to flirt, initiate texts, touch (not inappropriately). Basically everything he's doing.

The big differentiation is the manner in which he does it. You need to recognize if he acts that way around all girls.

Uhmm, I'd be very nice, comforting, understanding and try to talk with her as much as possible. I'd also ask her for her opinion before doing something.

Maybe ask about personal stuff, like what she likes to do in her spare time and so on.

If that sounds like your relationship, you just go for him girl :) If it doesn't sound exactly like it, try it anyways ;) You'll forget with time if he wasn't the right.

Well im currently in a relationship with pretty much my best friend. None of this "we're too close" bull. I just treated her like a friend would but with more compliments, (non-innapropriate) touching but then i found out that she liked me and then we were in a secret relationship which nobody knew about because i never asked her out because we fell in love and we knew it.

Then i asked her out and it will be 3 months since on the day after Christmas.
