Some help for people from real doctors if you need it

Hey guys, ive noticed that its been really really busy in the puberty forums these days with many users giving incorrect information, which (as I have seen) If the bad advice is taked, could cause health concerns. I would just like to say that if ANYONE has an question about ANYTHING and would like someone who you know you can trust to answer it, head over to "The surgery with Aleds" page. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/surgery/ There are off-air helplines too and I hope this isnt classed as advertising because it really wasnt meant to be. This was meant to help people :)

Yes and I am sure that all of these people who are helping have the credentials such as MD, PhD and OD after their names making them experts in their fields. After looking at your link I am not so sure that having people call, from all over the world is the best thing in the world.

This is a teen help site, we use the past experiences to answer the current problems and some of us do use resources such as The National Library of Medicine or MedLinePlus which is a website that many Physicians do use on a daily bases here in America.

Yes, some of the information that is provided by members is inaccurate and yes we do recognize this and for those of us with some actual medical knowledge (One like myself who studies medicine in school) have been trying to help out as much as possible.

If you are so concerned about this why don't you start commenting and correcting but do so in a nice manner, some people do not take to criticism to nicely. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me, have a nice day.

To be honest. I don't understand what you mean, I was trying to help people. I included relavent links and I stated that it wasnt adertising. I played by the rules. Would you please explain to me what I was doing wrong that made you comment on this post. Also, there is no critisism in my post i dont think. So please, I am just trying to help :) -Dom
