She was scared. Bangs could be heard from over her head. Loud, so loud. She didn't know where she was but she knew it was dark, and cramped. Beside her something moved. An animal? A person? Her imagination went wild with possiblities.
She reached out. A wall. Cold. Metal. Close. She changed direction feeling the left and the front and behind. Walls. She couldn't stand, couldn't even straighten her arms. Something scurried across her feet. Then: The Voice.
"There is not way out, little girl." She paniked. Scratching at the the walls that held her. She felt her warm blood flow from under her nails but still she carried on. Desperate. Fearful.
"I'm still here. You're never alone. I'm always here!" A cold, grey hand. Wrinkeled fingers clasped her wrist. The stench of cigarettes and bad breath. His leering eyes and then - the alarm clock.
The girl awoke with a start. Crying. Sweating. Shaking. He wasn't a dream. He was there. Only... he wasn't. If only you can see someone... are they really there?
