I'm getting my wisdom teeth extracted, but I have SI cuts and SI burns on my arm and have to be medicated under IV since they're impacted. I'm 16. Will they call Child Protective Services or just ask me questions?

You can't just wear a jacket?

They have to put an IV through my upper arm or my wrist, I'm not sure which. My cuts and burns are just above my wrist area on my arm, I don't cut my wrists. They're kind of in the middle of my forearm.

Woah, didn't even notice that part. Sorry.
I doubt they would call CPS, but I can't be sure of that. You think you can just bandage the parts you know the iv won't be going through? I did that when getting a shot at the doctor.

What if they take it off because it's in the way? I guess I could try it anyway. Thanks for the idea.

I don't know if your a guy or a girl, but if your a girl (or a guy I guess), you can't go wrong with arm warmers! When I was cutting all the time I lived by them.
Chances are they will give you the IV in ether the back of your hand or the inside of your elbow, not the mid arm, so if I were you, I'd wear long sleaves and arm warmers underneath.
I really, REALLY, don't think theyed call CPS on you, they only do that if they think your rents are mistreating you. They might tell your parents though...
Hope things go well.

I don't know where you live, but in the UK they shouldn't call anyone.
A few weeks ago I had a blood test at the hospital in my scarred arm. There's no way the nurse didn't see my scars, and she didn't have my previous notes or anything so it wasn't like they knew i'd already been in counselling. She didn't even mention it and just took the blood and I was gone. I'm also 16 as well.

You could wear a tight long sleeved top that will only roll up so far? Which kind of forces them to put it in your lower arm?

If you dont have SH marks on both your arms, simply ask that they put the IV in the other arm, make a reason like oh i sketch and it will hurt,or its my dom hand and it would be difficult afterwords? I dont think they would do much if you bandaged some spots or wore braclets,Im not sure of your gender, but a sweat band or something to that degree might work, a bunch of jelly braclets might work as well.
