How can I make my period less gross?

Arg I hate being a girl sometimes, how can I make my period less gross other than wearing tampons. I already do but they can be messy to change. :S

There really isn't much more you can do about your periods being "gross". Its a natural process of life, just like pooping. It might be gross, but its gotta happen.

Sadly I have to totally agree....the only consolation is knowing that every girl/woman has to go through this, and put up with it every month.

I heard that birth control gives you less periods, in my opinion that would make it gross less often...
