What are you trying to do with it?

Yeah it is pretty efficient if you know what you are doing.

I only suggest attempting it though if you have a tablet or it will be near impossible to get the same results compared to not having one.

i love photoshop, i use it to create wallpaper for my computer, or tattoos, or enhance photos. Makes me wish I chose digital design instead of science :/ but its hella expensive. Not something you get just to play around with

You could legally get it as cheap as $200 USD with a student discount.

Well, yes, it is the best kind of editor of its kind then if you already have it.

Its much harder to use and to get used to. Photoshop uses a better approach for beginners.

I use Photoshop in college, but as I didn't use a tablet some of the things I've done had to be moved into Illustrator, where it's easier to adjust things than it is in Photoshop

Well, if you are doing sketches, a tablet, Bamboo is the best for ammeters, but some of them quite pricey (like Intuos, I think those are more pro) is best.

Well I do use Photoshop CS5, both for like.. photo editing, drawing and photo manipulation etc. I think it's great, though if you want to draw/sketch a tablet will really help a lot. I'd recommend a Wacom Bamboo, but there's also cheaper ones from other manufracturers.

I'm actually owning a really small one (that I got for free from a magazine) and I think it's decent. I'm currently borrowing a Bamboo from school though and I must say that there is a HUGE difference.

Of course you can also use your mouse if that's pleasing to you.

To be honest, I've never heard of it 0.0 Judging by the previous posts, it seems to be worth a shot, though. Good luck :)

Sincerely,
Robert.

Yeah! But mostly for graphics designing.

I do a lot of graphic design, all of the adobe programs are used in my work flow.
Sort of pissed Flash is getting discontinued, though.

If you have deep pockets (or your parents for the matter), definitely get a copy. If you are like the 99% (yes i support occupy) go to your schools art offices and talk to your teacher or the director. Say you are interested in computer arts and are wondering if they have any left over licenses you can have. You will most likely get an older copy though, I got CS3 when I asked a few months ago since they just updated to CS5.

Then it's only 200 bucks to update it to CS5!
