View Full Version : How Can I Get In Good Enough Shape To Play Soccer/Football?

So Im going to a different school and I'm wanting to play soccer or American football. Mostly soccer. :p
I'm doing an exercise regimen that will get me in good shape. But what type of exercises will make me run really fast. I'm a very slow runner right now and I want to be able to run 4x as fast within 8 months. How?
Do those hand grippers work?
What makes someone able to kick the ball really hard?
What can I do to train to get big enough for American football? My exercise regimen is mostly for a ripped body. I'm 15 years old almost 16, and I'm 140 lb. and I'm 5 foot 8 inches

Want to get better at running? Run more.
Kicking? Kick more.
All it takes is motivationa and practice. :)

You can start out by jogging and then start running. Soccer is a lot of running and you have to train to not get tired easily too. For kicking the ball harder? just practice kicking it, there are many different ways to and i guess to work out your legs do squats or something. also work out your upper body... good luck and enjoy the beautiful game

Football's a sport for anyone. If anything, the sport itself will help you get in shape.

Practice and for kicking do squats and different variants of squats also calf raises. Do runs at short intervals like a 100 metre sprint 20 second break then 100 metres again that should help increase speed.

Do a lot of running and bleacher work..double stair jumps ,Tricep Kickbacks, Leg Presses, Leg Extensions, Standing Calf Raises, Push Ups, Crunches, Seated Row. etc. those are some of the many exercises that i've had to do. and eat enough protein and alot of water. good luck

Just play American Football. Then you don't ever have to run or get in shape. In fact you can gain weight.

Hey, for better running try running up stairs it really helps you build up strength especially in your feet and after it you are exhausted, also if you have a regimen for getting ripped, when you go to the gym work on you leg muscles
