Err, I don't think this is accurate. I believe it's more so because of the fact that you just climaxed, and now you are relaxed and the pleasure has ended.

I also wouldn't say its not guilt, since he did not specify whether he felt bad about it or not.

It is caused by a release of hormones during orgasm. For me I don't feel horny any more and I feel relaxed and sleepy. If you have any guilt this is when it would be likely to appear.
