It's just a statistic champ. It may or may not have any truth in it.

I agree with Rusty. Some men maybe having identity crisis that is why they are confused if they're straight or bisexual.Well,it's really hard for gays to pretend like real men. It's like wearing a mask that never fits at all.In school, bullying is rampant thus leading to suppression of unleashing the true selves of homosexuals.Just recently,I have also read that a Utah school's assistant principal told a pupil's mother and father that their son is gay. I believe the school administrators believe that they have an obligation to tell the parents about the potential safety concerns the boy might face at school.I've read it here: http://www.newsytype.com/13989-school-out-gay-boy/

Statistics aren't always correct, especially considering some of the people who do the surveying just make up the %. But, in your school of 450 people, 4.5 people would be 1%.. If you multiply that by 9, you would get 40.5 people. 11% would be 49.5..So, if the statistics were correct, about 41-50 people in your school would be gay/bi.

Sometimes it could be hard to identify a gay-bi-lesbian person. I know it was hard for me because when growing up I just stopped acting the way I was because my mom told me that people would make fun of me. Then when I realized I was gay, I couldn't go back to the way I was because it didn't feel normal anymore. Now when I sometimes act this way people just think I'm goofing off, but no. Usually when I see a gay couple around my school they are completely out and act I guess how people would consider "gay." Not all people are the same, give it time and wait. Hope this helps.

There are probably more kids like you at your school, shy or nervous about there sexuality because it seems like there are no other homosexuals or bisexuals there.

There surely are more people that are gay. They only are hidden or confused.
Don't worry about finding somebody, you'll eventually discover somebody that's like you, follow your gaydar, you surely already have some ideas.
