View Full Version : 9-Year-Old Boy Suspended for Calling Teacher ‘Cute’
Stronger

A nine-year-old North Carolina boy has been suspended from school for telling his teacher she was cute. Chiquita Lockett, the boy’s mother, was called into the principal’s office at Brookside Elementary, because her son committed an act of “sexual harassment.”
Officially, the boy was suspended for “inappropriate behavior” after making “inappropriate statements;” stated a spokeswoman for the school district.
Outraged by the overly exuberant penalty for stating the teacher was cute; Lockett stated; “it’s not like he went up to the woman and tried to grab her or touch her in a sexual way. So why would he be suspended for two days?”
The boy’s suspension came on the heels of a Massachusetts elementary school investigation of sexual harassment. A boy in that school struck another boy in the groin. That child was only seven years old and his mother states he was only trying to defend himself.

It's a compliment. What else happened? Did he want her to bend over for a spanking and to call him daddy? Getting bent out of shape over a compliment, god damn.

Now in my younger days I used to sport a shaaagggg
When I went to school I carried lunch in a bag
With an apple for my teacher cause I knew Id get a kiss
Always got mad when the class was dismissed
But when it was in session, I always had a question
I would raise my hand to make her stagger to my desk and
Help me with my problem, it was never much
Just a trick, to smell her scent and try to sneak a touch
Oh, how I wish I could hold her hand and give her a hug
She was married to the man, he was a thug,
His name was lee, he drove a z,
Hed pick her up from school promptly at three oclock
I was on her jock, yes indeedy I wrote graffiti on the bus
First Id write her name then carve a plus,
With my name last, on the looking glass,
I seen her yesterday but still I had to let her pass
She keeps on passin' me byyyy...(chorus 4x)
Poor kid. What kind of sick lesson are they trying to teach him? Are they trying to destroy his confidence?

This is where we've come to? Suspending 9 year olds for "sexual harassment"?
The kid most likely didn't really mean too much with it, and even if he did, he's 9! He's supposed to learn from his mistakes, not made an example of.
People should just calm down, and just teach the kid not to do it again, instead of absurd punishments like this. It's ridiculous.
If they diverted half the attention they spend on hyperbolically punishing a 9 year old to cases that actually require more immediate attention, there wouldn't even BE problems like this.
This, to me, seems like an arbitrary show of power. Making an example out of a kid, just to warn others.
As to the other boy, aged 7, so he realized that a man's weak spot is between his legs.
Big deal. It'll be of use when he grows up, in the very least.
Most sincerely,
Robert.

Seems like school officials are getting out of hand these days with simple acts of affection (refer to Fort Myers incident).

People get in trouble for stupid reasons. Once in second grade I went to the principals for farting too much, where I was immediately dismissed back to class... I think people shouldn't teach young kids unless they have an above average tolerance.

Thankfully, it's been overturned.
I just saw an article on Yahoo news that said so.
Also, the principal who suspended him, resigned.

Well that's a relief. Looks like the world has returned to a lesser chaotic and corrupt order.

Without stupid people like this, life would be boring. First time I've heard of a 9-year-old sexually harassing an adult.

I once had a kid in my class when I was 14. He said something along the lines of "yeah, but not as beautiful as you." She responded by saying "awww, thank you that's so sweet."
