Lip vs Ear piercings

Which do you guys prefer more? I might get one of those pierced in the future but I can't decide. It would be awesome if you guys could help me out. :D

I don't like lip piercings at all. They make it hard to get professional jobs, they take away from your natural facial features, and they suck to kiss.

I did my cartalidge by myself. I got my ear lobes done when I was 6. And I got my bellybutton done in march of this year.

i kissed a girl with a lip piercing one time, cut my lip right on it. then later that night i got into a fight with one of her friends. He hit me right where i cut my lip and blood went like everywhere. trust me, go ear.

Well normal ear peircings are alright but if i had mine peirced id end up streching them.

Ears are infinitely more attractive.

Not that ALL teenagers don't know what their doing, but my stance has always been WAIT. I'll promise you, chances are most people who want piercings and tattoos at a younger age will change their mind on whether they want them or not or on what exactly they want. I got my tattoo at age 19. I only got it after five years of desiring it, just to make sure I didn't change my mind. You're going to mature and many people wish they never did it. Lol, I wish I never pierced my earlobes even. XD But only because I don't wear earrings so I have holes in my ears for completely nothing. When you're older, you won't like the same clothes, music, many of your interests, etc. Better safe than sorry. At least something less noticeable. Like naval for instance. You can hide that. Ears, even if you decide to let them close, are at least less noticeable than facial piercings.

You'll be taken MORE seriously with ear piercings as well. Trust me, I've sadly fallen to that bias as I've grown up. The tasteful nose or eyebrow stud is bearable. I can't really take any more than that though.

Depends on the look you want to go for. Generally people with more than the average earlobe piercings are taken less seriously. When I was going through a punk-gothic phase when I was little...r I stabbed about 5 holes in my ears xD The teachers at the new school just looked at me funny and constantly kept a close watch on me, even though I'm the most rule abiding student you will ever meet.

Fortunately, they closed up but keep in mind I didn't keep them for very long because my parents pulled them :tongue: Another reason not to get a lip ring: you don't want to lose a chunk of your lip.

I'm not gonna lie, you'd look pretty hot with a lip ring but it just messes with your speech, bugs whoever's kissing you and makes adults think you're rebellious and slightly dumb.

Lip piercings are disgusting. They're supposed to be counterculture except that so many white teenage sheeps get them now that they've become meaningless as anything other than a pretty terrible-looking adornment that greatly limits your chances of moving up the social pyramid.

Unless you take it off. Then what's the point?

People with lip piercings (and stretches lolol) work at Wal-Mart. Fact. And they stay there because the professional world is a conservative one. Employers have full discretion to hire whoever they want. Sometimes you can get a nice interviewer that thinks it's great the you're willing to go against the grain. Most other times you get a frustrated dick with 100s of applications who'll seek to get the interview done ASAP. One look at your face and you're screwed.

Be rebellious on body parts you can cover up, or just go for the socially acceptable alternative : ears.

LIIIP. I had spiderbites but my goddaughter pulled them out -.- i'm getting them done again though, I also have my ears (which I have an expander in) tongue and nose, and i've had my wrist done but it grew out. I love piercings and i'm not botherd about getting them because they close up after a while. :)

I have a lip ring and i really like it.. but i only like the rings, i don't really care for the studs. And i really only like lower lip piercings, not the upper ones. But that's just my opinion.

It depends what you're willing to risk/sacrifice to get and keep them. For example I think that Snakebites look sexy as fuck on some people, sadly not everyone can pull it off, but they're much more noticeable and a lot of employers either ban it or disapprove. Whereas I rarely look at ear piercings and think how attractive they are, but they're basically the norm.
