First off, I'll be honest I'm pretty socially awkward LOL, not like horribly, I have lots of friends at school but I NEVER go to football games, dances, etc.

My friend invited me to her party at her church. I don't really like parties but I feel like I should go just to get out more often. I'm really nervous though that I'm not going to know anybody there, and just sit in the corner playing on my phone the entire time. Plus I hate dancing and stuff like that, it embarrasses me to no end.

I want to go, but I'm really nervous, any advice? Haven't been to a party since 7th grade xD

I think you should go. This can be a big step forward for you to become more social. Its okay if you don't know anyone. You will have your friend who invited you so then he can introduce you to more people.

Party it up. Tell your friend beforehand that you won't really know anyone and I'm sure she'll be willing to introduce you to some people there. And I'm sure you won't be the only one embarrassed to dance, so if you're afraid of looking like a fool, then you shouldn't worry because almost everyone there will probably look like a one when they dance.
