I'm guessing you mean five INCHES, not five FEET... If you did mean five inches, then it's perfectly normal. I'd say about 5-7 inches is the average adult size so he's already there. Plus he's only 12 and definitely has time to grow more. If you meant five feet, then that kid is lucky, even though I'm pretty sure that's impossible.
