HS Shower Requirement?

Since im entering HS next school year, is it manditory for students to take showers after physical education classes? I hear a lot of speculations on here and elsewhere and i am really cautious when it comes to privacy :whoops:. Help please!

Hey, the way I look at it..

Everyone's got a penis. (everyguy that is.) So why do we worry about it? I mean, yeah, size. But if anything, we should be celebrating that it's bigger than two inches so that you can have sex with a woman. (or man)

Some HS do, and others dont. Its a good thing to do anyways as it healthy. At first it might be a little awkward, but after a while it will probably be so common that u wont even think about it, so Id say just go with the flow.

Though i cant say for your school, its highly doubtful that you will have to take a shower after your class. Most(all?) schools around the US do NOT require you to preform a shower after your class, though, it is a nice way to get your "stank" to escape your body.

On the slight chance that it is required, I would suggest explaining your situation to your coach/teacher on the chance he might allow you escape to the locker room early to shower.

My high school doesn't require showering, but I know a lot that do. Even though I don't shower at school, I've showered with a lot of people my age at the public gym and it's no big deal. I'm sorta self conscious, so I got scared the first time, but people just forget about it. Everyone there has a penis, so it's no big deal. It's acutally kinda fun because you can see what others look like.

Your not really nude in public. Only other guys your age who all have the same thing you do. After the first few showers everybody gets used to it and it doesn't bother you anymore. It's not like your nude in front of all the girls in school or something.

It really depends what school you go to some HS make you shower, others give you the option and some dont even have showers.

Maybe if you go to some snazzy private school where you have to wear a coat and tie to class, then they might make you shower after PE, but assuming you're in the United States, the VAST majority of schools don't make you shower after PE, and hardly anybody does.

After sports is another question, but if it's just PE, I think it's very uncommon to shower.

I don't think most schools make you shower. My HS (its in California) has showers in the locker room, but they are never used. The shower area is actually used as storage lol.

You wont have to shower after PE, I've been to a few diff High Schools already, and they are mostly for sports. If you take into account, we have 7 minutes to run in from outside, change, and get our stuff together, theres no time for showers, and I've never seen anyone do it, or even ask to do it, we just go thru the rest of the day sweaty, no biggy. Dont worry so much bro, you'll be fine.

Schools are different. I've been in one where it was required. It's weird at first but you get used to it real quick. Just try not to make a big deal about it as that will draw more attention to you.

i dont think its required. A lot of people do becuase its smart to do that in order to be clean, especially if you had a serious work out and sweat real bad, and its not a big deal either, just keep to yourslef when you shower

If someone finds it that interesting to look at your they have other issues, I know its akward but just go in get clean put your towel on and leave. In 1st year last year.... was the first time I had to shower after PE...... yes I was nervous....yes there was a few stiffy's but all that was laughed off......I've had a semi once.....

Each school really is different, with different rules and different expectations. At my school we get naked to shower. But the point, dude, is to get clean. I mean, if you were at your house would you not be naked? No.

The probability that your school makes you shower is probably little to none, honestly, but it won't be that bad if you do. Dudes all have the same stuff, so what's the big deal, right?

But if you get the option to shower you should take it. Nobody wants to smell unclean people, trust me. :)

Dude some middle school even require you to change, i hate when i have an erection before jym, somtimes my dick is even sticking straight out and in full erection even though i got the erection 15 mins ago checking a girl out in class

if im right the next school im going to is probably going to be one where you have to shower naked after gym.

I've never taken PE at my school (me playing baseball for my high school counts as PE). But for both PE classes and sports, my school does NOT allow anyone to use the showers. Dunno why and not really complaining because I rather take a long hot shower at home

showers are mandatory at my school after pe, even at midle school we had to take them. i'm glad everyone has to take them so you don't have to sit next to somebody in class that's sweaty. have never seen anyone shower in their underwear, seems strange. there are guys that are nervous but it seems like eveyone gets used to it pretty quick. i have never had an erection and have never seen anyone else get one

At my high school no one really showers. We have about 5-10 minutes to dress up. And the showers are separate rooms w/curtains. I don't shower though.

well we have to shoer in my hockey class at school, at first we just went in our underwear and showered like that that but recently weve started getting nude and showering

Started High school last year and yes we were told you must shower after PE. Now in 2nd year everyone is used to it.

As said, depends on the school. In my school, you don't have to take it if you're in the gym class but you can. Students that mostly take it are gym classes after swimming if wanted, mostly school sports team. After training. So Yeaaaa. Coaches join too ;)
