How do I know if the cuts on my leg are infected and what do I do if they are? Besides go to the doctor as that is out of the question.....any help would be great.

if cuts are abnormally red infection is beginning,
use hydrogen peroxide.
if colored (purple, green) and not severe, use hydrogen 2-3 times a day
if severe. go to doctor, can be deadly

Should it be concerning if it hurts to stand or walk after sitting or not moving leg for a while. When I try to stand or walk the skin and cuts ache and throb even though I dont touch them.....I dont know if this is a sign of infection or not

This happens to me sometimes. I think you should mainly look for the different color or puss.

Like everyone else said, a change in color, an abnormal amount of swelling of the cut itsself of the area around the cut, the cuts not healing as they would normally do or leaking puss. Technically everytime you cut you should spray it with dissinfectant (verytie you put on/remover clothes or bandgaes touching the cuts, every morninng and when you get out of the shower too) but i know not a lot of people do this, me included.

How deep are they? I know that with my deeper cuts or when I have several close to each other they feel like you described, I've never had an infection though, so I can't help you there.
Also, what did you use to cut, was it clean? If it was clean the chance it is infected is much lower.

I dont think there is any puss but the area is awfully red and I am in a lot of pain...which is good in some weird way.

They sound just irritated. Whenever possible, just hang around in your underwear to let them breath a bit, avoid tight jeans, try sweats.
Keep applying hydrogen peroxide and/or Neosporin every night to keep them healing safe and as a cautionary measure.

If its abnormally red and sore it could possibly be infected. You could go to a & e, and just not tell them you did it :)
