Shaving issues

Hi.:) I shave in the shower and use lotion after but my "area" gets all kinds of irritation and starts itching. Btw I use a disposable razor. Please help me

First off I would get a different razor. Might sound wierd but I use a guys razor-just works waaay better. Also don't go against the grain otherwise it'll likely burn like he'll afterwards. Right now, though, I get waxed.
