i'm in a dilema about vegetarians. A real vegetarian for me is the one that enjoy the lifestyle, and not the one that don't eat meat because of animal suffering.

Some of my friends agree and other disagree, what's your opinion???

im personally not a vegetarian but i would agree with you 95% because im not so sure if it would be called a real vegetarian vs fake vegetarian/vegetarian

I'm also vegetarian because I enjoy my diet and not for any animal rights reasons. But that doesn't make either type any more or less vegetarian.

Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying others are more or less vegetarians, i'm just saying that some vegetarians are not there for the reason that i consider the true reason to be a vegetarian

Mental Crisis Forum -> Food

i was thinking on mental crisis because it was making confusion on my head, but it makes more sense to be in cooking and food

Im a vegetarian, because i dont like meat and i love this lifestyle. However people have their own beliefs so i think they have that choice if they dont agree with animals suffering- however that arguements not for me.. im just fussy :P

If you dont enjoy being vegetarian, i see no point in you being one

I'm the same as you. I'm a vegetarian that enjoys the eating lifestyle and how healthy it is, as opposed to animal slaughtering. i hate it when thats the first thing people ask me when they find out.

I'm a vegetarian because I just don't like meat. I'm sure if I tried any recently, I'd find some I like.
But I've pretty much been on for 10 years now

Well, I mean, I'm a vegetarian because I'm for animal rights and the humane treatment of animals, that's why I stopped eating meat in the first place but, I enjoy the lifestyle at the same time. :P I have no desire to go back. I eat vegan most nights anyway.

People who don't enjoy it don't often succeed in the attempt to become a vegetarian. They're always the ones that seem to fail after the first week. "I feel bad, I wanted to stop eating meat, but meat is so good O.O" I don't see how someone could hate it and live torturing themselves like that. I don't eat meat because I just really don't miss it, I'm fine with what I've been eating. And yeah, I don't think it's right to treat animals how we do. Not even just eating them, but how inhumane the system is, it's cruel. I don't think either type of vegetarian isn't real. Because most vegetarians, regardless of reasons, enjoy the vegetarian lifestyle.

Unfortunately you're right about the animal cruelty, but knowing that killing other animals to eat is part of nature and if you knew some place where they kill animals without they sofer, and knowing that humans are omnivore animals , would you eat meat? or you just don't like it?

I'm not a vegetarian and doubt that I will ever refuse to eat meat/eat eggs but I think if someone is a vegetarian it's only up to his/her issues why not eat meat. It can be caused by the thoughts of the suffering animals or any other reasons. I just think that people really need to have something in their minds to be sure why they are vegetarians. The enjoyment from the lifestyle fits perfectly either.

I used to be a vegetarian for the whole "no more animal suffering" thing, but I LOVE meat and the lifestyle was really difficult for me.

But I did it for a whole year. I was a REAL vegetarian that whole year, sorry to break it to you.

I don't see there being a difference in vegetarianism. If you're a vegetarian, you're a vegetarian. Theres no real or fake or anything. I'm not a vegetarian, but that doesn't mean im for the slaughter of animals but over the last few years I've come to realize it doesn't matter if i personally stop eating meat or not, they're still going to be killed. I hold the same views as my father, if its there I'll eat it purely so it doesn't go to waste. It might not make much sense to many people but thats the way i think about it. I won't lie, i do like the taste of meat and I'd find it difficult to be a vegetarian but im not crazy on meat.
