(This is going to be really sloppy. I'm just pouring out my feelings, so it won't be all that organized...)

Everything is just so awful. No one cares about the environment, about other PEOPLE. Human nature sickens me. People hate the homeless, the ones who have less than them. Religion teaches hatred and exclusion. Sexism, racism, homophobia, or just descrimination in general...they all run rampant. People bully others who are fat, or gay, or emo, or a nerd, or a werido. Why do people need to torture others to feel good about themselves? NO ONE seems to give a damn about anything or anyone other than their own selfish desires.

I've been feeling so empty and...dead.

I feel as though there's not even a reason to continue. We all die in the end. Why bother with this world of hate and selfishness? I don't belong here.

As sad as it is, that's just the world is. There isn't really much you can do. Support always helps of course though.

"I became a savior to some kids I'll never meet. Sent a check in the mail to buy them something to eat. What will you do to make a difference, to make a change? What will you do to help someone along the way? Just a touch, a smile as you turn the other cheek, Pray for your enemies, humble yourself, love's staring back at me. In the midst of the most painful faces, Angels show up in the strangest of places. -sings- Going through this life looking for angels. People passing by looking for angels. Walking down the streets looking for angels. Everyone I meet looking for angels" - skillet looking for angles...
now tell me what are you doing to help every thing you put on this tread... trust me your not perfect either dont try and change my hatred for a guy bugging me down the street for change....

Oh hun, I know exactly how you feel. The world is a cruel place and so many humans act like monsters. It's very demoralizing. You feel like you don't belong because you're one of the few people who never got hardened by the world's cruelties, who just can't bring herself to accept the brutality of the world. That is in one both beautiful and terrible. You clearly are a very feeling and caring person, and that's great. The downside is you feel too much, and that causes an enormous amount of pain. That combined with your other life stresses must be very hard to handle. :(.

The only thing I can suggest is to look at the world in a different way; instead of this fucked up, broken mess, see it as a work in progress. It's terrible now, but it was even more terrible earlier. We've progressed and are continuing down that road. So instead of feeling the pain of the world's cruelty, get up and do something to change it. Everyone can make a difference, and if you really put your heart and soul into this, you can change the world. I really mean that.

You ever felt envious or jealous of anyone? Ever look at someone and hate them so much? Have you met someone who just tickled you the wrong way? Ever wish you could tell someone to fuck off? Has anyone ever hurt or wronged you in a way? Have you ever disagreed with the views of others?

There's a 99.99% you have. Human minds don't all work on the same wave length. We constantly have conflicting views and ideas. We always strive to be better than the next and the next. It's perfectly normal for you to disagree - you wouldn't have much of a mind of your own if you didn't.

Often when opinions crash, violence, anger and frustration are formed. Sometimes people feel they are doing the world a justice by cleaning it of crude races, they feel they're doing god a favour by discriminating homosexuality.

As for homeless people and our self-centredness in general. Well, not everyone is selfless. Few people put everyone before themselves - and even those who do often do it to feel better about themselves. It's a natural instinct to survive. At any cost. We'll do anything to keep ourselves going, even if it means hurting another.

I could go on and on and on about this, and there will still be more to say and gaps I cannot fill.

Our world isn't perfect and neither are you. The very people you criticise - you share similarities with. You will never be in control of every person in this world - it isn't your place or mine to point fingers, after all, three are pointing back at us. Not everyone is pure evil, not every person's a complete saint.

All we can do is be the best we can possibly be. Change starts with you and with that, you'll create a ripple effect. However small one bit of kindness may seem, it does carry a long way. There is beauty in this world - if you choose to see it. Some people feel the rain, some just get wet.

Good song...

Anyway, I can totally relate to this feeling. Sometimes I look at the world and think, everyone seems to be in pain. All the people closest to me are in pain and it's a hard thing to bear sometimes, but there's also love, and kindness. However rare and hard to find these are in their pure form, they are out there, and I guess once you find them it's all been worth it. There are such beautiful things in the world too, but we need evil in order for there to be good.
