The Great Escape

Blood and tears are shed and bled
Razor bites, emotions spike
Walking down a lonely road
Slowly going over the bridge
Fingers trace the rail
I climb up and take my seat
At fates feet
Legs dangling off the edge
River raging down below
Once more the razor slashes
Till all I see is red
And soon I'm slipping off the edge
And finally I feel,
Totally and completely at peace
For the first time in my life
As the river turns crimson
And I quickly fade away
And make my escape
