So I am going to meet up with some people tonight and my plan is to be honest with them about what I am struggling with. I have over 50 cuts on my right thigh and I think I really need intervention. However with that being said I am not willing to go to the hospital... I dont know how this is gonna go. I am pretty nervous about it.

Telling friends? Usually not a good a good idea. I am 13 as well, and when my friends found out it just made everything worse. Do you have a trusted teacher or school counselor you could talk to? Adults are better at handling the situation. And as for going to the hospital, that is a last resort. Most likely you will not be sent there unless you are suicidal or in danger of seriously hurting yourself.
Good luck!

If you really trust them, and they are good friends, they will understand.

You can never be too sure with friends, at the end of the day they are young and not as experienced as adults and at the end of the day they do not have the power or standing to make things happen like an adult does.
Ultimatly telling an adult you trust, maybe a teacher or member of school staff you get on well with would probably be the best move. They will understand and try and get you the help and support you need

Ive told many many friends and in my opinon they dont really help, its like i tell them and then we never talk about it again. And if i mention it they change the subject. Its best to tell an adult, i cant really talk because i havent but, its best to. <3

Never be ashamed of who you are. Self harming has left behind scars that are a part of you, and physcically those cuts are a part of you. You know they are your real friends if they stick around.
But I wouldnt come straight out about it, I would leave it until they notice themselfs or you feel comfortable enough to tell them. But dont ever be ashamed of who you are and your decisions. Its not effecting them, its you :)
