I have a Netgear CG814WG v2 router. I connect it through lan and wireless because my laptop has both. My ISP is Comcast. I have cable internet. It keeps going in and out with the connection. How do I keep it connected with both? It doesn't make a differance if I only use one or the other.

So if i am reading this right your connecting to your modem/router through wired and wireless. Well the wireless may be going in and out because you have a weak connection. My advice is to just connect through wired, you don't need to be connecting twice to the same router. I may be confused, LAN means Local Area Connection, witch is basically just means a network not a type of connection so i may be misinterpreting.

The wired goes in and out too, not just the wireless. And when I have wireless off, it still goes in and out. But it doesn't on any other computer in my house. I have 2 more. One on the same floor (wireless) and one in the basement (wireless) I have the router next to my laptop on the second floor.
I don't know why, no matter what it always goes in and out.

well if it doesn't do it on your other computers, take your computer to somebody else's house and connect to their internet. If it still goes in and out it may be your laptop's network card. Also if you haven't already tried this try connecting just through wireless to the router

Find out where the problem is, computer or router. Steal someones internet connection or something.

I used to have it just wireless, now I use both because even though I get kicked off, I still fall back on the wireless or the LAN depending on what goes out when.
I will try it at someone else's house that is a good idea I didn't think of. It could be my router . . . I had a router before this one and it worked just fine.
^^Stealing someone else's internet connection is illigal in America.
