Gay people are crazy and do drugs?

It sometimes seems like my dad just MAKES UP new stereotypes to slander gay people. He used this one earlier today. I doubt it is true, but he instists that every gay person he's met has been "crazy" and were drug addicts.

I don't think he MEANS to be offensive. But he never really seems to let me believe the things I believe. He always has to slander, belittle, or just speak lowly of everything that I have a certain mindset on.

He has a lot of stereotypes about gay people, apparently. Living in OHIO, I can't imagine that any of them would be all too accurate... This one is one of the nicer, less explicit ones.

I wish he wouldn't see them as GAY people. I want him to see them as FELLOW people. Human beings. Period.

Well i'm not crazy and have never taken drugs, whenever i hear people spouting rubbish like this, i wonder if they would use the same words to describe blacks or Jews,seems gays are the only group where people think they can still get away with this crap.

Yeah, no ofense to your dad or any family, I just have this theroy that people crave to hate something any good hearted people. I hate america, I think it's stupid and corrupt. Your dad focuses his hate on Gays, and b/c being racist is now discouraged it isn't like right to be racist so now some people are focusing on Gays and other things. I also homophobics (which i don't think is appropiate b/c a phobia is a fear of something that you cant control but they just call themselves that to be mean and say crap) and racists

Ugh, the thing is is that people dont understand gay culture. Some people (most) only think about what they see in movies, the gay drama queen who puts on makeup before EVERYTHING or the insecure gay guy whos all emo and ends up killing himself. Ever heard of the "Bear" gay subculture? These guys would NEVER be caught putting on makeup!!

Personally, I do some drugs, but only occasionaly (not like every day occasionally xD Like once a month maximum.) and you know what? IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MY SEXUALITY!!!

Another thing: Why do they sterotype gays?
Lets take an example:

Straight guy: OMG WHY ARE THEY HOLDING HANDS!!! UGGH STOP SHOVING IT IN MY FACE!
Gay guy: So when you hug, kiss, grope, talk dirty too, play with hair, stare at tits, talk about girls, drink beer and watch football, post sexually driven billboards and sing songs about straight sex, thats fine, but if I hold hands or put on eyeliner, its suddenly "throwing it in your face?"
