It honestly depends on the way you shave it, I shave down, then up.. I think that when you shave down it gets rid of the longer part of the hair which causes the irritation when you shave up first. But you also wanna use like a aloe shave gel, that always helps.

I usually trim, but I occasionally shave it all the way down and just let it grow back out lol. The first time I shaved it was really itchy the next few days, but now that seems to have stopped.

Ive also done both. Shaving is reeeealy itchy, so i trimmed a few days ago. Not to short to make it look like im just growing pubes, but not to long to look like i did nothing.

I tend to trim as much as I physically can with scissors, when I know I'm going to be shaving, then go at it with a razor until it's all gone - trimming really short makes it much easier because there's less hair. If I'm just trimming it down normally then I cut down to within half an inch from my skin, roughly.

It's actually not too bad, the first time for me seemed like torture but once you'v e done it more than once the itching doesn't seem as bad and you forget after a few hours the day after.
