i have this RE project that im doing for school. and one of the questions is

Write a paragraph about how you feel about this and what you do to cope with issues that are difficult to accept.

i cut...

thats the answer.

i am thinking of being honest with this, as recently ive been thinking about telling this teacher that im quite close to that i cut. thats my RE teacher.

i dont know if i should just lie put something diffrent. put that i cut. or leave it out, and put a note at the end explaning i was uncomftable answering because i cut.....

help?

Hmmmm, well if you uncomfortable about answering the question then maybe just leave it blank. If you get asked about it you could just say you were supposed to come back to it but just forgot.

However if you feel comfortable about telling your teacher maybe this is a good way to start things off, just write a few sentances. Maybe "I cut. It does" And then you can list how it helps you and why you do it.

You could suggest it but not actually mention the word "cut" or "self harm" etc.. just talk about you know how you cope, but it isnt the right answer?

Personally i wouldnt tell him through an essay. If you wanted to tell him you shouldnt do it like that because he might become increasingly worried about you, its better to reassure him face to face. Its your choice, but perhaps you could write about distractions instead? and how you use them to cope

An example of a time where I had to cope with something, when my half-brother, Sam, was first diagnosed with a brain tumor, when we was told, if it was left longer he wouldn’t have lived another year. I went around coping with this the wrong way, and I still do, I keep my feelings bottled up, and I open up to very few. To cope I do things that I would not like to express in this project.

im thinking of putting this, but do you think this raises suspicion? and you think reading this she would become worried?

It doesnt raise susspicion and gives no reason for your teacher to be worried but you are giving a little nugget of information away. If anything your teacher might keep an eye on you. I wouldn't think anything more would come of it. The worst I think would happen would be your teacher might talk to you about it to see if your ok as you say you bottle things up.
