So I've just been wondering, I've been taking vyvanse for my adhd, and I have no idea how that would react with smoking. I haven't done it, since I've been concerned with how those might cause a serious issue with my heart or mind or anything. Anyone want to tell me if they react badly or if they don't really make a difference? Simple question: Do narcotics + thc = bad or no big deal?

Vyvanse is a form of amphetamine designed for slower release. You should be fine. Some people report paranoia and pounding heart when weed is smoked with normal dextroamphetamine (Adderall) or with regular release methylphenidate (Ritalin). Be careful, it's really different for everyone. As far as I know, there are no *significant* interactions between the two.

No fatal interactions were noted.
Was that really worth the neg-rep? Both compounds will increase heart rate, so it should be easy for you to deduce that anyone with heart issues should avoid the two. Vyvanse is an amphetamine, but also take into account that very little is released into the bloodstream immediately. That makes a lot of the possible interactions nil. If you really want proof, look at pharmacokinetic studies.
All in all:
1. Lisdexamfetamine is a slow-release dextro-amphetamine medication, therefore it is not as direct as Adderall or normal d-Amphetamine
2. Both increase heart rate. Avoid if heart problems are an issue.
3. Stimulants can induce paranoia and psychotic states. Lisdexamfetamine is not released fast enough to be comparable to street amphetamine.

Woah, you went the extra mile there. Thank you for all the info, I really didn't want to have some crazy surpise reaction of some sort. Yeah, I know all about the emotional effect from the first time I took Vyvanse. It was probably worst-case scenario. But, I'm definately making sure my life is very mellowed-out at the time to prevent any over-anxiety.
You, sir, are officially going to be the first +rep I've given. The data makes it all so much more logical.

I've smoked weed while dosing on Vyvanse. It doesnt really have any negative effects, it stops that lazy feel you may get from smoking and replaces it with a really happy high.
