Hi people
I'm not good at talking so I'll just come out with it. I have a scar on my arm where I went a bit too deep one day. I have others but they've faded, but this one is still really . . . noticeable. It's about a month old, so its surprises me that it is still so pink. Has anyone got any suggestions of how I can hide it? I usually wear short sleeves because I get very warm, and dont usually wear sweat bands or bracelets or stuff like that, but anything will be useful. :)

You can buy cream at the store that helps repair scar tissue. I don't cut but I use this stuff for stretch marks on my back from growing too much and too quickly. The stuff I use is Bio Oil and it seems to work alright so far. I takes a long time for it to work though and you should use it 2-3 times daily.

This should be a motivation for you to quit. Its a struggle to hide your scars, but if you didn't cut in the first place you'd have nothing to worry about.
Try long sleeved jackets/sweatshirts. Try to rub petroleum jelly on the scars to make them fade a little bit faster.

Hey Rellan, sorry to hear about this
I cover scars and get really hot too, it is a struggle!
1) If you have to hide your SH try wearing something thin like a long-sleeve shirt or light jacket over a top, can be cooler than sweaters etc but still gives you cover
2) If you're somewhere that you don't mind people knowing about your cutting but showing scars isn't appropriate, wrap a simple, breathable bandage once or twice around your arm
3) If you're somewhere that you can really be open show them and don't be embarrassed about them, they are a part of you
and (most important) 4) As Oath mentioned above - remember all this hassle and hard work next time you get the urge to cut. Every time you put the razor down is another time you can wear your favourite clothes! Use it as motivation to stop self harming, you might surprise yourself!
Good luck with everything

Hmmm, there are a few things you can do.
Bio Oil is amazing stuff, expensive but worth it, it really does help.
Another thing is totally free and easy to do but requires a lot of courage on your part. Sunlight, believe it or not the sun in its natural form can really help, I was in a psych ward for a while and so after a while I didnt really care who saw what. When I worked in the garden or went for walks I always noticed my scars would fade. If you can do it then please do, it really works.
Finally another amazing thing, google garnier BB cream and buy some from a local supermarket, I am a guy and I use it sometimes its amazing. In fact its so good I sometimes put it on spots when I go out for the night or something. I think if you apply online you can get some free sample sent out.
