Is shaving the pubes a bad idea?

Hi! I'm 13 years old, and 5 1/2 inches erect. I have quite a lot of pubic hair. I heard that if you shave it, that your penis looks bigger. I would like just to see what it looks like, but aswell, just to see it without any hair for the first time in a few years, and also just for fun :L I definately wouldn't like to keep it shaved, this would be a once off thing. But I was wondering, does it take long to grow back, does it grow back the same?

Hey man, go for it! It all depends on how u grow hair... mine grows back pretty slowly, but thicker... I'd do it just once to say that I did haha

I'm 15 and 5.5 in. I also did this- twice in fact. It does make it look bigger, but it also makes it look like your 9. Itching is HELL, and lots of red bumps get down there. It took me about 2 months to fully grow back. I think it grows the same. I would say trim short first, just to get an idea, and then go for it if u still want. I think most guys do it, its a experience. Now I like my pubes long and hairy, but Its just personal preference.

Also, if you ever take showers in the locker room, just be aware that youre friends might see.

Personally whenever I cut down there, I can never get the stems, so it kinda look like lots of black dots. Ive never managed to completely get rid of my hair. I'd like to though. Itching is a real problem, not just at first but as it grows back when it gets to a stuble stage its quite hard and can irritate if your legs touch

I shaved last night. It was fine, but today it started itching and i got all these red bumps. But it has calmed down alot. I guess it stops after a while.

Thanks everybody! I did it there a second ago, just coz i was bored. IT LOOKS SO BIG!!! :L Even when flacid. It's cool aswell to see myself with no pubes again. This of course is only a novelty, and I will be wanting my pubes back whenever they come :L

Go for it, if you'd like to try it. Better to do it now at this age when people (most likely) won't be seeing your dick, than when you're older and people will. Decide what you think looks best now so you know what to stick with in the future. :P

Just letting you know that it all depends how you shave, you might want to Google a few ways on how, since i can't instruct you on here, but i shave down then up to avoid razor bumps...

Haha awesome dude! Just be ready for the itching and bumps... the bumps should go away after a day or 2, but the itching could be there for a week or so... dont freak cause it is normal :D congrats on ur first rug-cutting ceremony bro
