The first one, looks nice. You can see the littlest of details.

With the second one, not so much, add some vivid shades of the pencil. I can see the details but they don't pop as much as the first one.

Well, the first one I worked on for the longest time, the 2nd I just did in 30 minutes after a test. They're both on 29.8x35.6cm paper, I didn't want to take the time to shade in some 2nd rate anime character. Thanks for all of your thoughts! <3

mmm...

What doesn't work on the first is the hair texture. Its grey level is more or less the same all along, and it makes the hair look very flat and plastic-made. Use strong shadow contrast as much as possible when it comes to hair drawn in pencil. And the contrast between her clothing and the rest, on the other hand, is way too high. But maybe it is not a finished work, and that you only painted the bottom so far?

The second has strange perspective and proportion approximations. That's the direct copy of a pre-existing anime picture, isn't it? In such cases, always provide the reference, so the quality of your personal contribution can better be evaluated. As it stands now, the proportions are off: compare the size of her legs with her face, or the face against the torso width, for example. Some of your lines lack of focus, in that they are trembling/hesitating instead of flowing. Finally, the shading is lacking - hardly anything noticeable in the hair, too few in the face or on the upper legs.

I like the first picture much more than the 2nd one - realism from a photography is quite another job than copying a mediocre manga lineart. If I had a tip to give: get some charcoal or darker pencils (2B->6B range), and use them to enrich the portrait with some contrasts, to give it volume and weight.

the second one i don't really evaluate anime that often but it looks decent
the first one just have some few constructive criticism. well firstly i'm guessing you drew it from a photograph? well i'm not sure because well don't see one but if you took it or someone else took it i'm just wondering where is the light source or is there one. but for cc all i can really say is maybe work on blending the shading and using an eraser to add highlights and also clean the surrounding area to make the main point stand out a lot. good for overall drawings

Both drawings are lovely! Is it just a sketch of a girl or is it a specific one??

on the 2 one i see that you are going for a serious look i found that darening the eyes aand other facial features will help intensify the expression just sayin

I absolutely love the first one, it's brilliant. I love the way you chose to portray it.
As to the second one, it doesn't really stand out to me. It is very well made, of course, but it's missing something.
You seem to be rather talented ^_^ Keep up the good work!

Sincerely,
Robert.
