Hey guys, and this is mostly for the Americans here because I believe we are the only ones who celebrate Thanksgiving, correct me if I am wrong.

So do any of you have any food traditions that your observe, we make a cranberry-jello salad with multi-colored marshmallows and we also make stuffing balls instead of stuffing the turkey.

Aunt Dawn gets drunk and plays the piano but that is a given for any holiday almost....

So guys and gals, what goes on at your place?

We usually go to my Grandparents for the day and have a big dinner with the entire family that lives around here, but my mom works tomorrow so we're just having a family dinner with 4.

Oh we go to my grandmother's house and help her cook and set everything up and have other relatives I rarely see come over.

Usually your usual stuffed turkey, mashed potatoes, etc.
But my grandmother makes like three different pies from scratch, home made cranberry sauce, and home made bread rolls.

We have fun. :o

US and Canada I believe.

I'm getting forced into it this year like I was anyway last time. Couldn't care less for it as you can imagine. I'm in it for the pie. The four-day weekend as well.

Jay did the typical thing really. Except he just got a bit of turkey for himself. I'm vegetarian so I really didn't eat much that time. I was interested this year however since I'm now living with my girlfriend who is vegan. She's doing a lentil shepherd's pie with sweet potato as the main dish and doing some other vegan variants of side dishes. It's her excuse to culture me and cook some more. I get tired of cooking so I really don't care as long as I don't have to make it. I don't get it, but my friends are really into submersing me in American holidays. There's no doubting now whether I have to actually do something because I know the answer is yes. I always get pulled into it somehow. However I really enjoyed the irony when Jay dragged me to an Independence Day party. I thought it was hilarious.
