I'm gonna get mine pulled in February (I hope by then...). What's it like, if you've had it done?

I've had some of mine come in so far and they were horrible to say the least. Because they didn't come through right away they kept stopping they caused infection which ended up making it more painful and i ended up having them pulled. I've got one more to come through as i've got one coming through at the moment which isn't too bad this time round. Braces definitely did not help matters. Its going to hurt for a while, you won't be able to chew all that well and sleeping on your side is going to be hell, but overall i promise you it is worth it.

I had mine pulled in May, it was alright. I had the consultation and everything. The surgeon gave me 10mg of Valium and then I went in. A nurse inserted an IV in my right forearm and then the anasthesia was administered. I was out.
I woke up in out patient and then went home. My face was swollen for about a week. Ice and take the perscribed medications from your doctor.

I always dreamed about getting all my teeth fixed while I'm "asleep" under the anaesthesia. But doctors say it's too harmful so just sit and endure the pain, they always make a local anaesthesia but it doesn't help the way I expect it to help.

To be honest, I dreamed of a small little white haired guy (My Surgeon) straddling me with a jackhammer getting my teeth out, so funny.

I have braces and will eventually get my pulled. From stories from others though i have heard it is horrible. my friend said one of the upper openings opened up to her sinuses so whatever she drank went out her nose. and her other openings got clogged with food, which is not fun.
