i was lookin at my user cp n seen n ignore list n was just wonderin does that prevent them users you add to that from viewin your profile, your posts or prevent you from seein their posts?

I think it just hides their posts.

I thought it did everything from preventingbthem from adding you to them not being able to see what you have posted.

If you ignore someone, and are in a thread with their post, their avatar and information will come up, but instead of their message, it will say
this member is on your ignore list...

yep, ignoring a person just means you don't see what the content of their posts. it will still show you that they posted, and they can still see your profile etc.
