I'm Getting Circumcised

In exactly ten days -____- I went in for a consultation a few days ago and they schedule it a week from now.

I'm gonna have to miss a day of school and AP classes, fml.
People are going to wonder why I'm gone . . . awkward.

Anyways, has anybody else gotten cut in their teens?
Care to share your experience?
I have Phimosis if anybody was curious as to why I'm getting cut.

I was circumcised over Christmas break last year. The other boys did not know until shower for pe after we went back. Since I was the only one that was not cut, my circumcision was big news at first. They did not laugh, but wanted to know what it was like. Did it hurt and stuff like that. After a week or 2 it was over and I was one of them. As far as the circumcision, in November I told my parents that I wished I was cut like my friends. My parents took me to the doctor and it was scheduled for the first day of break. That morning they took me to a surgery clinic. I was put to sleep and did not feel a thing. I had to stay about 1hour after I woke up. They gave me a pain shot before I went home. I had pain pills for home. One week later I had the stitches taken out. I was jut told to take it easy but could do most anything I wanted. Went back to school on time. I love not having a foreskin. Cleaner,feels great just rubbing on my undies and the sheets at night. I think it looks better too. Good luck and let us know how it goes. If you are like me, you will like how it turns out.

I don't care about the whole foreskin controversy. So that's whatever to me.

OP, I was cut at 13. I took two weeks off of school, which was necessary. They used disposable stictches which were gone within 3-4 weeks, with smoother scarring. I recommend briefs for a while, it holds you better which prevents the rubbing. The first shower will also hurt, I had a bath with additives, one with salts and one with milks. It helped a lot, speak to a chemist. They should also (depending on your age) some medication to avoid hard ons.

I got circumcised in June just there about 5 months ago now, I had to get the procedure done because I had phimosis and balanitis xerotica obliterans for several years. I was able to retract it without any problems when I was like 10 or 11 but since then, up until June, I was unable to, I didn't think anything of it until I started going on forums and such then realized I had an problem.

I went to the doctor, got referred to a urologist then get my appointment, process took about 4 or 5 months. I was put to sleep and given a general anesthetic in the penis area so I wouldn't feel pain for the rest of that day, In all honestly the only pain I got was a few erections, after a few weeks the stitches were messing up and scabbing and it was sore so I pulled them out myself, got a few scars because of it but felt much better after I had taken them all out. I had to soak in baths daily to clean the wound as well.

At the end of the day, I'm happy about how it's turned out, I didn't have a choice in the matter because the medical issues forced me to get it done so no point in wishing I had foreskin.

You'll have to take a few days off of school at least, if you lye down for the first 24 hours after the operation then the bruising around the penis area wont be as bad.

You probably won't want to go to school the very next day. If you had it done on a Friday you might go back on Monday. Can you get it done on the first day of Christmas break like I did? I was fine to go back after the break. I am 14.

I reschedule my appointment from Nov 28th to December 27th. It's a whole month extra, but at least I'm well into my break that I enjoy Christmas and don't miss school.

Those AP classes will be the end of me.

I have more questions, though.

1. Is there really medications that will lower the number of erections? I know that will be a problem with me ;)
2. Should I get put to sleep or just get the "no pain" anesthetic?
3. How long will I be drowsy?
4. Will my penis head become bigger? From research, the lube around the head dries up and gets a bit bigger.
5. When was the first time you masturbated after the procedure?

1. Yes. They should give you some. I recommend bringing it up.
2. At your age is should be general anesthetic (asleep).
3. After the operation? It wears off pretty quickly but you need to sleep that night before you really get over it.
4. Not sure about that one. It wouldn't be any longer I don't think.
5. It took me 3 weeks for the stitches to come out, even then I had to be really gentle.

I'd say you've done the right thing moving it a long. I personally took 2 weeks off.

I think you will be glad you rescheduled. It will give you more time to recover and plan.

2. Should I get put to sleep or just get the "no pain" anesthetic? "no pain" anesthetic is a bit of a misnomer. They turn your dick into a pin cushion with some pretty scary needles. So you will feel the shots but you wont feel anything after that. If you are asleep you won't feel any pain at all because they give you the shots while you're asleep. Benefit to being awake is that you can be done in 30 minutes and just walk out afterwards. It's what my dad and doctor wanted but I chickened out on the prep table since I hate needles so they put me to sleep. Whole thing took about 2 hours and they took me to the car in a wheel chair even though I said I was fine to walk. If you don't mind shots and needles go for it. I know thats the most common in muslim countries that do it for 8-11 year olds but your doctor might think it's easier to put you to sleep...they also make more money if they have to put you to sleep. Up to you, but I'd recommend you chat with your urologist.
3. How long will I be drowsy? Yeah, about an hour afterwards...they tell you not to drive or operate heavy machinery for 3 hours
4. Will my penis head become bigger? I didn't notice a size increase
5. When was the first time you masturbated after the procedure? 2 weeks don't even attempt it before then

Good luck on your big day Tuesday. You will do fine and if you are anything like me, you will be very happy with the results. I consider my circumcision last December as one of the best Christmas presents ever. Something I will enjoy all my life. Again, GOOD LUCK and tell us how it all goes.

Funny story guys, my appointment was scheduled on December 27th! Leaving time for healing :)
Then my surgeon magically had an emergency and rescheduled it to January 3rd, but I HAD NO TIME WHATSOEVER -.-

So, I haven't gotten circumcised yet. Nor do I have anything scheduled.
I still have many questions, but I wish I could PM already :(

i got cut a few months back, im 15 now, was 14 then. took 2 weeks off school initially, but ended up being out for 3. i was out for the actual circumcision and they used stitches that went away on their own. 3 days after my getting cut i got an erection, which is a no no. it ripped my stitches. so i had to go to the er. thats why i needed extra break time. i like the other user above, suggest trunks or briefs. i wore trunks personally. you dont want it bouncin around, that'll hurt.

I was circumcised when I was a baby and when I was about 5 years old they did not take off enough skin so I had to go back and it hurt so bad for like 3 weeks...
