So, the full release of Minecraft is finally here. No more beta. Who else is excited? :D

I'm excited! So is my mom, ha.

I have played this lovely game since the first alpha release. This is a massive milestone for minecraft. :)

When is the full version available for update? Or is it already now and I haven't noticed?

I haven't played in forever though because the lag issues have been too much to handle.

I updated. But I haven't been doing the pre-releases so this is all new to me.

Especially the new sounds...like...when you fall you don't grunt you like...shatter your spine or some shit it makes me cringe.

Haven't actually played since 1.7.3 but I have seen a few update videos, I imagine it's going to be pretty strange when I eventually update.

Suckers.

You'd be surprised at the system requirements for Minecraft. It may be a simple Java 3D block game, but there's so much behind it that makes it act like a top of the line game. Of course, you don't need the most expensive equipment to play the game. Hell, I'm running on a three year old Nvidia vid card and two year old processor and I get at least 55 FPS.

java is not a very fast language, nor is minecraft particularly well-optimized. for its clunky-looking graphics it is actually quite taxing on hardware. integrated gpus, particularly, don't really cut it.

Is your server still 1.8? If so, that's why. Don't blame 1.0. Blame you for not updating.

Man this whole food bar thing is really annoying, though I don't want to set the difficulty lower than normal! Looks like I will spend most of my time with just a few hearts of health.

I think i'm pretty aware of the updating process, having it back from 1.4 in feburary.

Minecraft haven't released their Vanilla servers yet.

hMod is outdated.

Looks like im stuck with the latest stable bukkit build.

I must say that I do like how the latest recommended build for bukkit is build 1337.

Could always use a dev build of Bukkit, I'm using build 1467 for 1.0 support on VT's server, and only one fairly unimportant plugin doesn't seem to like it, but the rest are fine, and the server is stable.

Spout perhaps?

I'm using Logblock, and i'll tell you that bloody plugin over flowed my whole server until it crashed...in a matter of seconds.

and back to the question...

After about 5 hours, I FOUND AN ENDER PORTAL

WOOOOOO

JACKPOT

Anyone else hear about that shit from Minecon? God, if the lag wasn't a good reason to stop playing Minecraft...

Notch still has my $19.99 though. Fuck. (interesting how the price has varied. Well. I bought it when it was twenty dollars)

The curiosity for the update may overcome me eventually. But for now... *unpins minecraft* *unfollows notch on twitter*

That depends what shit you're talking about. There were multiple cases of shit going on throughout.

There are some issues with the multiplayer servers. My brother and I have to download a new minecraft.jar every time we play. There must be a more scientific method though...

I am finding the single player virtually the same. I can't wait to find a ender portal, though. The snow golems are amusing, but they're too much effort.

I got my hands on a copy of 1.0 about a week ago...found some dungeons, a couple abandoned mine shafts, and a stronghold. Got a tunnel from the stronghold to my house just in case. It's a cool game.

I'd assume the shit being referred to was the Notch/Yogscast thing/"misunderstanding".

That's probably the most well known, yes.
